Third Eye Meditation
I get asked a lot how to do a third eye meditation. It’s really not that difficult but there are things to consider first. It’s like anything else you have to run before you walk.
The question is not how to do a third eye meditation the question is should you do a third eye meditation? Are you ready to experience visions? Are you psychologically prepared to see things your mind will have trouble understanding? Do you have the mindfulness to stay focused and keep your mind clear of all thoughts regardless of how bizarre things may get. Can you put aside your fears? Can you put aside expectation?
These are just a few questions you need to ask yourself before you should even consider third eye meditation. If you can remain silent in your thoughts and you can put aside your fear then you will do very well. Don’t expect results. It is in this place of detachment that you will begin to experience and see on another level. If you get to this point then you must maintain this level of detachment and non-thought to fully experience the third eye meditation.
* Sit quietly and clear your mind.
* Use headphones with any music you like as long as there are no words to distract you.
* Place your index and middle finger on the middle of your forehead and concentrate only on the touch against your skin. If your mind wanders then bring your focus back to the touch.
* No expectations
* No thoughts
* Start off with 10 minutes and work up to 20 minutes and longer.
This may seem simple until you try it. Your thoughts will keep interrupting you. The key is to find that place in between where you are you but not you. It is a place of high focus and no focus at all. It is a dimensional awareness that is no awareness at all. It is energy and you are absorbed into the energy field.
As you practice this simple third eye meditation you will be able to reach this level of awareness quicker each time you meditate. I use a special program designed to get you there quicker. Actually it is more like a third eye experience where the walls of perception are challenged and uses symbolism to represent the tearing down of preconceived notions, which allows you freedom to experience more then you normally would in your everyday waking consciousness.
