Fushigi is a brand new, dynamically designed ball used in the mysterious art of contact juggling. With FUSHIGI the operator exploits the reflective properties of a sphere through specific hand and body isolations and movements that are designed to give the appearance that the FUSHIGI sphere is moving on its own or even floating. Using is an incredible, therapeutic form of relaxation. The art of maneuvering a reflective sphere through mind and body isolation and manipulation creates the illusion that the sphere may be defying the laws of gravity, as if the sphere is moving on its own.
Can anyone do this?
Yes. However, we highly recommend you watch the tutorial DVD before you even attempt any illusions or maneuvers with your Fushigi Ball. As with any performance art, mastering the illusions of gravity defiance, body isolations, and levitations takes practice. Please note the performers shown within the national TV spot as well as www.fushigiball.com are experienced Fushigi contact jugglers. You can learn basic maneuvers within minutes with our DVD tutorial. With practice, advanced maneuvers such as the Pyramid (Multiple Fushigi Manipulation) or Body Rolls can be attempted and possibly perfected. People often quickly master the Palm Spin, the Levitation, and the Enigma inside of one week. Once you have a good understanding of the physics behind the Fushigi Ball, you will be able to approach the art form with confidence. Note - Fushigi Balls do not float or levitate on their own.

Your Fushigi is completely unique and its patent pending design will amaze and confuse anyone who watches you work with FUSHIGI. Although FUSHIGI can be associated with "contact juggling", your FUSHIGI has been specifically designed to eliminate the "lense" effect that other clear acrylics possess. How old do you have to be to Fushigi?
Fushig is strictly recommended for ages 12 and up .
What size Fushigi should I buy?
We recommend you start with the 3 inch Fushigi. Anything larger gets heavy. However, as you progress in your Fushigi skills, you will eventually enjoy maneuvering the 4 inch Fushigi.
What are the minis for?
Many Fushigi artists use the minis for multiple hand manipulations. It is easier to learn to maneuver 2 and even 3 at a time with the minis. Also, those with smaller hands may prefer the minis to get started.
What do I do if my Fushigi gets scratched?
We highly suggest that you follow the instructions when you first get started. Scratches can be filled with small dabs of nail polish. Scratches and nics will not impede your ability to progress and hone your skills but may effect the levitation illusion. Always practice indoors over carpeting.
Does Fushigi actually float on its own?
No. This is a performance art. You must learn the basic hand manipulations before you can demonstrate or exploit the natural properties of the FUSHIGI Ball that create the appearance of gravity defiance, levitation and floating.
How does it float like that?
Practice! You can do this, too.
What is FUSHIGI made of and is it breakable?
Your FUSHIGI is actually a ball in a ball. The inner reflective ball is layered with clear acrylic. Fushigi will not shatter if dropped, however it is possible to scratch or chip your FUSHIGI if you drop it. Each FUSHIGI is hand made and polished therefore making every FUSHIGI ever so slightly unique to itself.
*storage of your FUSHIGI in its protective pouch is highly recommended in order to protect it from scratches. Additionally, you must read all disclaimers as they relate to leaving any plastic sphere in direct or indirect sunlight. Although your FUSHIGI has been tested and demonstrated to negate any dangerous focal heat energy output, if its not a FUSHIGI buyer please beware.

What is contact juggling?
Contact Juggling (also known as Dynamic Manipulation, Sphereplay, Orb Rolling, Spherical balancing, Fushigi etc) is a form of object manipulation in which the ball or balls are kept in contact with the body. The different manipulations can give the appearance that the balls may be floating even though they are in fact always in contact with the body.Contact Juggling can be performed with any number of balls. The fundamental ideas of contact juggling were formulated in the early 1980s by physical artist Michael Moschen, although different forms of CJ/Contact Juggling have been around for quite some time. This dynamic, performance art offers endless years of learning and growing potential.
