Most people believe that the only way to quit smoking, with mind power, is the willpower method.
This isn't true. In fact most people don't use willpower to quit smoking. They use something else. Science calls it spontaneous remission but it's really a shift in perception.
You see, something truly magical can occur when a smoker shifts their perception about smoking. And when this perception shift happens, you can forget everything you've learned about nicotine withdrawal and it being hard to quit smoking. When a smoker comes to the conclusion that smoking is no longer worth it, the brain can literally obliterate the smoking habit in a blink of an eye.
Yet, with all the buzz about nicotine addiction how can this be?
Well luckily our brains are equipped with a DELETE key. Science calls it " top-down processes" of the brain. You see our brains have 10X more firepower to override learned behaviors like smoking. When a smoker becomes completely CONVINCED they want to quit, this firepower can free them.
Think of it this way. Willpower is like trying to push a stubborn mule. You can push a mule all day long but it won't move, right? Yet, how easy is it to move a mule once it wants to move? And, how do you make a mule move easily? A carrot.
With smokers, the first step to quitting then becomes to identify reasons they truly want to quit. Yet, this can be difficult to do. Why? Because smoking is a very addictive behavior and denial comes into play. So before this can occur a good first step is to learn about the tricks and deceptions smoking is playing on smokers. This learning exposes the unconscious attachments to smoking that currently imprisons them.
So, where can you get this type of learning? It's rare. But you can start with this educational video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_BfL1MqDuZo
