LG has announced the launch of a new entry level LG GB106 900 Band mobile phone which is a tri-band GSM network ready candy bar style handset features 1.5-inch 65K colors TFT display and integrated FM Radio. LG GB106 mobile phone is a triband GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900 MHz handset which offers 1.5-inch, 65K colors, 128 x 128 pixels resolution TFT color display in candy bar style design and is equipped with five-way D-pad control for most of the basic functions. LG GB106 900 Band small candy bar form factors entry level mobile phone has a built in FM radios, and small color displays. Sporting rounded corners in its high quality plastic body, the LG GB106 900 Band is a cheap little number that's suitable as a backup mobile phone. LG GB106 900 Band has several hotkeys on its 5-way d-pad, and its FM radio feature works even without an attached headset because the FM antenna is built in. Sound may also come out through the external speakers
The new entry level LG GB106 900Band mobile phone has 1.5-MB internal memory allowing up to 500 entries phonebook with photo call feature allowing up to 10 dialed, 10 received, 10 missed calls records and 100 SMS message memory. The budget priced phone does not offer support for Memory Card Slot for expanded memory. The LG GB106 handsets also feature built-in hands free Speakerphone and offers option for Hindi language SMS and Menu.
The LG GB106 Band mobile phone also sports integrated FM radio which offers 20 station memories for quick station access. The phone does not offer option for FM live recording. Available in Black color, the new LG GB106 900 Band mobile phone does not sports any MP3 player or digital camera but is equipped with GPRS class 10 connections with up to 48 kbps speed and comes with WAP 2.0 and xHTML browser data connectivity. The handset does not offer USB port for wired data connectivity. The phone supports polyphonic ring tones along with MP3 ring tones.
